49ers Promotion

2011 San Francisco Gold Rush logo

Starting this year, we will be running a 49ers promotion. For 2011, we are giving away two free tickets to..

  • MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL 12/19 PITTSBURGH STEELERS VS SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

…Minimum prices you can get for this hot ticket right now are in the $200+ price range!!! See for yourself (link to StubHub).

Please note: For the SF Gold Rush Tourney, Dream League will have an ongoing 3-POINT SHOOTOUT where the winner will win two tickets (upper reserved section 61) to this game.

Here’s how it will play out logistically…

  • On a PER-DAY BASIS, for $10 you get one shootout attempt, or $20 for three. Please note, this is a fundraiser for Dream League. We have already paid $400 street value for the two tickets, so we are definitely looking to recoup our costs.
  • If you want a 4th or subsequent try during that day, you may pay an additional $5 for each subsequent try after the first three.
  • All payments must be made in person at the gym, with cash.
  • Anyone can participate. You need not be a participant in our tournament. You need not be present to when we determine the winner on Sunday at 5:30pm, after the championship game is done and there are no more 3-Point Shootout Participants.
  • SATURDAY & SUNDAY SF LOCATION: ISA High School, enter driveway at intersection Wisconsin & 19th Streets, San Francisco. Google Map
  • SUNDAY OAKLAND (9:00am-12:00pm) LOCATION 1 OF 2 : Bushrod Recreation Center, 560 59th Street, Oakland. Google Map
  • SUNDAY (11:30am-1:30pm) OAKLAND LOCATION 2 OF 2: Willie Keyes Recreation Center, 3131 Union Street, Oakland. Google Map
  • Participants can show up anytime during our tournament on Saturday 12/17 or Sunday 12/18. We have games on Sat from 1030am-630pm, and Sun from 930am-530pm in San Francisco or in Oakland at two locations (see above).
  • Each participant can bring two rebounders, since we will not have ball racks. If you don’t have two rebounders, we will provide them as necessary. Dream League cannot be held responsible for rebounders who do not rebound or pass you a rebounded ball effectively for the next shot.
  • Each participant gets 30 seconds (not 60, as in the NBA) to shoot. You start at either baseline for 5 shots, then move to the elbow, then top, then opposite elbow, and finally opposite baseline, as time permits you. Each of these shot locations is called a “station”. You will get two basketballs and your rebounders will pass you the ball for your next shot. It is your responsibility to communicate effectively with your rebounders.
  • Like the NBA, you get 1 point for each shot made and a bonus point for the 5th “money ball” made at each station.
  • The player with the most points will win the two 49ers tickets. If there is a tie, we will have a playoff to determine the final winner. The playoff will be held most likely at 5:30pm Sunday 12/18. If you cannot attend the playoff, we will pick a random winner amongst those tied.
  • We will conduct these shootouts all day, during pre-game shootarounds, halftime, and timeouts of any of our games.
